Kef Times is an online newsletter of the East European Folklife Center (eefc.org). Kef is a word used in various forms throughout the Balkans to convey a spirit of pleasure and enjoyment, such as one experiences when partaking of good food, music, dancing and friendship.
New issues of this newsletter are usually released once a year. The next issue is scheduled for mid-2022. We welcome stories, articles and photos on Balkan music and dance-related topics, although we can't promise to run everything we receive. Please note that Kef Times does not run event listings or publicize events (other than EEFC events, or except as mentioned in articles).
Send general submissions (articles, New & Notable items, photos) to the Editor in Chief. If you have submissions for one of the sections listed below, direct them to the appropriate section editor.
